An Early Draft [1] [1979]

So what does a child do when he desperately wants to experience a movie but can't, because he's underage?

Plot concept 2 (following rejection of Dan O'Bannon's first effort)

The 'Nostromos' lands on the Planet Alien!

Enter: the Face Crusher!

A preliminary story concept for ALIEN: Sight Unseen (based on a single several minutes viewing of H.R. Giger's ALIEN film design book. See the resemblance to the other rip-off of 'Man Gods from Beyond the Stars' in Star Wars age 9? How apt! Now that Ridley's making Prometheus and he's into all that Erich Van Daniken - er - stuff!

Yes, the story here differs in a couple of minor respects. They land on Planet Alien and when attacked by the face crusher exclaims, "Help! It's Alien!" A bit like my parents asking oh, is that JAWS? Is that the bit when JAWS attacks the swimmer? I remember in Monster Fun comic (soooo good) they had a character named GUMS (His bark is worse than his bite). They sort of did the same thing!

Star Wars: age 9

All of this started here - in 1977. On the bedroom floor with office paper, biros, markers and the self-assuredlness of a 9 year old.

It's dafter, it's funnier, it's followed by Official Star Wars Twitter and Mark Hamill "loves it!".

Yes, it's Mid-Life Crisis Pt.I.

The Battle (War Pigs)

A comic which may - or may not ever be published. Made 1 and a half times, between 1981(?) and 1983(?). Yes, as usual, I took more than one swipe at it.

I get very excited about this occasionally, but then I re-read it and feel embarrassed.
