See the resemblance to the other rip-off of 'Man Gods from Beyond the Stars' in Star Wars age 9? How apt! Now that Ridley's making Prometheus and he's into all that Erich Van Daniken - er - stuff!
Yes, the story here differs in a couple of minor respects. They land on Planet Alien and when attacked by the face crusher exclaims, "Help! It's Alien!" A bit like my parents asking oh, is that JAWS? Is that the bit when JAWS attacks the swimmer? I remember in Monster Fun comic (soooo good) they had a character named GUMS (His bark is worse than his bite). They sort of did the same thing!
